The arrest of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan on a drugs bust earlier this year, brought the limelight back on the subject of substance of abuse in Bollywood. Speaking to a news portal, veteran actor Shatrughan Singh expressed that his children, daughter Sonakshi Sinha and sons Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha, have never been associated with drugs. He told NDTV in an interview that he considers himself fortunate that his children don’t have any such habits and that their upbringing is very good. Shatrughan Singh further added that he has never heard or seen them indulging in drugs. The veteran actor also reportedly stated that parents should keep a watch and take care that their kids don’t get into the wrong company and have atleast one meal with them.
Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB on October 3 after a drugs bust on luxury cruise. He was lodged at the Arthur Road jail and walked out on October 30. The Bombay High Court’s bail order mentioned 14 key points which included a PR Bond of Rs. 1 lakh. The star son has also been asked to submit his passport before the Special Court and told that he cannot leave the country without prior permission from the Special Judge for NDPS at Greater Mumbai.
NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik on Saturday alleged that Aryan Khan was a victim of the NCB’s highhandedness. He stated, “I reiterate the raid on the cruise ship was fake and fabricated to fix Aryan Khan. He was in jail for a prolonged period due to the different stand taken by the NCB. Ultimately, he was granted bail by the Bombay high court.”
