On the film front, Aishwarya took a sabbatical from films for almost five years after welcoming her daughter Aaradhya with Abhishek Bachchan. Later in 2015, she made her comeback with ‘Jazbaa’ and since then, only appeared in Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Fanney Khan.’
Currently, she has filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s much-anticipated film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ in her kitty. Reportedly, the first instalment of the film will release in 2022.
