Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. The couple holds love and acceptance as their strongest emotions and has indeed come a long way through thick, thin, and all things in between. But did you know, before their marriage, when SRK was dating Gauri, he was threatened by her brother and that too with a gun?

Yes, you heard it right. An excerpt from the book King of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan and the Seductive World of Indian Cinema sheds light onto this incident, where the book stated how even though the actor had gained fame through this TV show ‘Fauji’, Gauri’s parents were wary of him.

Adding to this, Gauri’s father Ramesh Chibba didn’t really have a positive outlook towards Tinseltown, and hence he didn’t want his daughter to be associated with an actor. Gauri’s brother Vikrant too threatened Shah Rukh with a gun. According to an excerpt quoted from a news portal, “Vikrant had a reputation of being a goonda (thug). He threatened Shah Rukh with a gun, but the posturing didn’t scare his sister’s suitor.”

Shah Rukh and Gauri got married on October 25, 1991 and are parents to three kids: Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’. He will next be seen sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in ‘Pathan’.
