R. Madhavan to share screen with this multi-talented Bengali actor in his next – Times of India

Mir Afsar Ali dons many hats with equal brilliance. He’s a radio jockey, TV show host and also a terrific actor. Now, the Bong genius is all set for a new challenge as he will soon debut in a web series. You may ask what the catch is in it! Many actors these days are stepping into the OTT world. But not many get to share the screen with acting powerhouses like R. Madhavan. Yes, you read it right! Mir’s debut web series has the iconic actor-director in a key role.

Recently, Mir, in a social media post, shared the good news. The actor wrote how the offer for the project came as a ray of hope for him. Mir was offered the role in 2020, a year that was filled with difficulties and anguish.

The web series has been directed by Hardik Mehta and produced by Vikramaditya Motwane. Besides Mir and Madhavan, Surveen Chawla will also be seen in an important role in the series set to release later this month.

Mir, lauded for his unmatchable comic timing, had begun his career as a radio host and then went on to play quite a few memorable roles in films like ‘Bhooter Bhabishyat’ and ‘The Bong Connection’ among others.

Apart from his OTT debut, Mir will also be seen in the upcoming Bengali film ‘Bijoyar Pore’ being directed by Abhijit Das. The film will see Mir and Swastika Mukherjee after a long time. They last appeared together in the film ‘Michael’ in 2017.
