Alaya F: 2021 was very special; being able to do what I love was incredible – Times of India

Alaya F tasted success with her debut in the Saif Ali Khan and Tabu starrer, ‘Jawaani Jaaneman‘. What followed next was a range of film offers including a romantic thriller with Kartik Aaryan and a remake of a Telugu film.

Looking back at the year that went by in a blur, Alaya opens up to ETimes about her best moments, new learnings and of course, the things she is grateful for.

Sharing a recap of the past year, she said, “2021 was a very special year for me because I finally got the opportunity to really work and be on sets nonstop after a long break that the pandemic forced upon us! I was constantly shooting and in films back to back and even though it was very exhausting at times, it was so rewarding because all through the lockdowns that happened post my first release all I could think about was getting back to work. So finally being able to do what I had been dreaming of was incredible!”

She also got candid about 2021 teaching her to pull the breaks and learn to balance her time. She said, “In between all of this I also learnt important lessons on how to balance my time and conserve my energy and take breaks when necessary. Which is something I never used to do! That’s why this year was great because it was incredibly productive but at the same time, it taught me a lot about balance.”

When asked about her hopes and plans for 2022, the actress quipped, “I hope 2022 is full of lots of new learnings lots of new opportunities and just a lot of success, love and happiness!”

Alaya, who has two films in line for their releases next year, also added, “I can’t wait to see the work of this year translate into 2022.”

She will star in the Hindi remake of the Kannada thriller ‘U-Turn’ that is expected to release next year. Alaya will also star in ‘Freddy‘ with Kartik that will reportedly blue the lines between love and obsession.
