When Abhishek Bachchan was asked to leave his front row seat for a bigger star – Times of India

Abhishek Bachchan whose recent release ‘Bob Biswas’ received a mixed response from the audience and critics alike has gone through several ups and downs in a career spanning two decades. He has been trolled time and again about how his acting career in Bollywood survives just because of his father. However, Abhishek has always insisted that he too had to face his own share of struggles and rejections since his father Amitabh Bachchan has never picked up the phone on anyone.

During a recent interview with a popular entertainment magazine, Abhishek revealed once he was asked to leave his seat for a bigger star at a public function.

He recalled when the organizers requested him to sit in the front row he was extremely happy with the gesture since this was an unexpected request. But unfortunately, when a bigger star arrived he was again requested to move to the back. However, the actor says this is all part of showbiz and he didn’t take it personally because he has faced rejections on several occasions. He says the only way to stay strong is to promise yourself that you will work so hard and bounce back one day. And then these people won’t even think about asking him to leave the front row.

The ‘Ludo’ actor had earlier said that in his two-decade-long career ego has never been a major issue for the actor because he believes things like that only destroy one’s work and it can never catapult one to anywhere. Abhishek has also clarified that he never had any kind of apprehensions over sharing the screen space with other actors.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhishek will next be seen in a social satire ‘Dasvi’ alongside Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur. Although ‘Bob Biswas’ didn’t live up to the expectations, Abhishek’s act as the hitman has earned him appreciation.
