While the India business numbers are awaited for Pushpa: The Rise’s Thursday earnings, we have information from the USA box office, and the results are applause-worthy. Allu Arjun’s film has hit the $2 million mark in just seven days of its release, becoming the first South Indian film of 2021 to garner the $2 million mark in the USA. Interestingly, this is not Allu Arjun’s first time making $2 million at the USA box office. His film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ had also entered the magical $2 million club when it was released in 2020.
The makers too took to Twitter to share the box-office numbers. They wrote, ”Pushpa Raj’s rAAge at the US box office. #PushpaTheRise becomes the first South Indian film of 2021 to hit the $2M mark in the USA. #PushpaBoxOfficeSensation.”

Helmed by Sukumar, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is a magnum opus period film set in the Seshachalam Hills of the Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh. Trade is abuzz with predictions that the film will continue its successful run post the second weekend as well. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film has been doing very well in non-Telugu markets as well. Apart from Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, the movie has a huge ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Dhananjay, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Rao Ramesh, Shatru, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Ajay, Sritej and Brahmaji in supporting roles.
