Akshay and Twinkle headed out for a quiet holiday with daughter Nitara in the Maldives. The star couple were among the few celeb couples who left town a week in advance to get the celebrations started.

Today also marks Twinkle’s late father, Rajesh Khanna on his birth anniversary. Taking to her Instagram account, the actress and author shared a throwback childhood photo and wrote, “He always said I was the best present he could have ever received, as I tumbled feet first into the world on his birthday. A little star looking up at the biggest one in the galaxy. It’s our day together, now and forever.”
Meanwhile, Akshay closed off 2021 on a high. Besides recording the highest collection for a Bollywood film in 2021, the actor also had the biggest OTT release for his film ‘Atrangi Re‘ that co-starred Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan.
