Kim Taehyung became the first K-Pop idol to have his photos light up the Burj Khalifa for two consecutive years, and the BTS singer’s Chinese fan club is to thank. To mark the special day, the singer’s fans got together to play a special birthday ad on the world’s tallest building – Burj Khalifa.
Hoards of fans and tourists were seen gathering at the iconic structure as the big screen got ready to display the message that began with “We Purple You!”

As ‘Inner Child’ played in the background, the ad was met with hoots and cheers from fans as they dubbed V as “Idol of Idols.”

BTS fans across the globe have arranged for special birthday projects. While some have lit up billboards across Time Square, others have put up pop-up displays around Korea, planned events and even fundraisers to aid projects close to the star’s heart.

BTS fans in India have also joined the celebrations by putting up billboards and hoardings around the country to celebrate the star’s birthday. Others, including Bangtan_India hosted a fundraiser and reportedly raised about ₹1,05,008 that would be donated to an NGO that empowers women.
V and his bandmates have been on an all-time high with the release of their hit track ‘Butter‘. The band won Song of the Year at the 2021 Asia Artist Awards and has also secured their second nomination at the Grammy Awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
On the personal front, the boys are on a break right now. Earlier this month, after it was announced that the group is taking time off, V along with his family travelled to Hawaii for a holiday.
The star also made headlines when he announced his decision to sue people for spreading false rumours against him and other celebrities.
