One of Puneeth Rajkumar’s final few appearances, the first look of ‘Luckyman’ is here – Times of India

Luckyman‘, the official remake of the Tamil rom-com hit ‘Oh My Kadavule!’, is a special film for all the Kannada cinema patrons as it features one of Puneeth Rajkumar‘s final few on-screen appearances. The late actor will be seen in an extended cameo appearance but beyond that, he will be seen shaking a leg with dance legend Prabhudeva to promise one of the most vibrant cinematic moments of recent history. The film has been directed by actor-choreographer Nagendra Prasad and the makers, on New Year’s Eve, have come out with the first look of the film.

‘Luckyman’ features Darling Krishna, Sangeetha Sringeri, and Roshni Prakash in the leads. Krishna, who has closely worked with Appu in the past on films like ‘Jackie’ and ‘Hudugaru’, had recently begun dubbing for his part in ‘Luckyman’ and even shared a snippet from his scene with Puneeth Rajkumar. Earlier today, the actor-director took to social media to share the first look of the film which features himself and Sangeetha Sringeri in wedding attire and also Puneeth Rajkumar, in his quintessential beaming avatar. The poster also bears the tagline “God is arriving soon”.

Coming back to the special dance number in the film, a few online reports had previously suggested that Jani Master has choreographed the song which shall easily be one of the main highlights of the film. Nagendra Prasad, who happens to choreographers Prabhudeva and Raju Sundaram’s younger brother, makes his return to Kannada cinema after a long hiatus – he had previously acted in films ‘Chithra’ and ‘Manasella Neene’ (along with other Tamil films) and ‘Luckyman’marks his debut as a director. The film is expected to release soon in theatres.
