The actress shared how in America, one gets to know the gender can go ahead doing genetic testing and all that kind of stuff. In India, they did IVF (in vitro fertilization) and the girls didn’t turn into a baby. The actress shared that phase was really heartbreaking, and there were times she felt like a failure. “You feel so low and so upset about it,” told Sunny.
During that time, Sunny revealed that she and Daniel were visiting the St Catherine’s Home, an orphanage in Mumbai. That is when she felt, why can’t they adopt a baby, as she will still be theirs not genetically but connected through their heart. “We went there and we were seeing all these babies and I was like, ‘Why can’t we just adopt a baby? What is the difference? She is still ours. We are not connected genetically but we will be connected through our heart”.
Soon after they adopted, they found out they were having twin boys and a little girl all in the same week. “We call that God’s plan,” Sunny told the news portal.
