Esha Gupta tests positive for Covid-19, isolates at home – Times of India

Esha Gupta is the latest Bollywood celebrity who has been infected with the novel coronavirus. In an Instagram story the actress shared, “Despite the utmost precautions, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have been following the protocols and have isolated myself and currently under home quarantine.” Urging everyone to stay safe, Esha added, “I am sure I will come back stronger and better out of this. Please stay safe and mask up! Take care of yourself and others. Don’t forget to #MaskUp. I love you all.”

Previously, veteran actress Nafisa Ali had shared that she was hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19. “Guess what I have! A lucky number 7 bed!! High fever and throat congested but doing better with my super medical team in Goa. Hope to be allowed home in a few days for self isolation #covidpositive,” the 64-years-old actress had shared.

Last week, Bollywood celebrities like John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal, Ekta Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar have tested positive for Covid. The sudden surge in cases had led to several new restrictions being put in place. Theatres in several states have shut down and once again, Bollywood film releases are being postponed. Till now, films like ‘Jersey’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ have been postponed. Shoot of Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ and Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ has also been put on hold.
