While many of these celebs’ admirers are left in shock closer home, Tollywood actress Sreelekha Mitra has a piece of important advice for celeb couples. The seasoned Bengali actress urges celebs not to make their personal lives public and stay away from all the blame games and mudslinging.
“I have a question for those who love to gossip about celebrities. Do we celebs really have such colourful lives like you think or talk about? People criticize or talk about a celeb the most when there’s a celebrity breakup. Also, those who break up also get involved in mudslinging and these things inspire people to spread rumours and personal attacks. People start saying anything about anyone and these things happen just to get attention and cheap publicity. I believe only we, celebs, can stop this. I would request my celeb colleagues and friends that please don’t make your separation announcement on social media. Don’t make the news public property. Time has changed and we now live in a progressive society. Misunderstandings can happen between a couple and there will be problems in your personal lives but why make it public? Don’t announce your separation news publicly. Why do we have to inform everyone about it? What do you want to prove? Why do you have to speak publicly about the reason behind your separation from your partner? Let’s be practical. Don’t make your personal life public,” the ‘Once Upon A Time In Calcutta’ actress shared.
She also wants to mention another important point. “Why do you have to start blame game? Why such mudslinging? Even if the separation happens due to some reasons you both have spent good times as well in the past. So treasure those memories and respect each other. Stay positive and inspire others. That’s what me and my ex-husband is doing. We are separated but we have never blamed each other publicly. That’s how our daughter is growing up in a healthy environment,” urges Sreelekha.
