Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced on Friday, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate.” While they kept mum about the gender and the date of the child’s birth, reports claim that the baby, a girl was born 12 weeks early. Revealing the reason why they opted for surrogacy, a report in Daily Mail claimed that their hectic schedules came in the way of their family planning. ‘Priyanka doesn’t have any fertility issues preventing her from having a baby, but she is 39 now so it’s not getting any easier. Their busy work schedules also mean that it’s difficult for them to physically be together to conceive when she is ovulating, so some time ago they went down the surrogacy route,” a source told the portal. The report has, however, not yet been confirmed.
