Santosh Chaudhari aka Dadus mourns Bappi Lahiri’s demise, says ‘I have lost my idol’ – Times of India


The legendary singer Bappi Lahiri passed away on February 15. He was 69. Friends and family of the beloved Bappi Da have been expressing their grief since then and among them is a singer Santosh Chaudhari aka Dadus is a Marathi folk singer who is well-known for his Agri and Koli geet.

Dadus is best known as Marathitla Bappi Da. Talking about his fond memories with Bappi Da, he said, “I can’t imagine my life without Bappi Da. He was my idol and today I have lost my idol. I consider myself very fortunate because I got a chance to share a stage with Bappi Da”

“Bappi Da is a huge inspiration and will always be alive in our hearts. I pray that God gives strength to the family to bear this loss” Dadus concluded.

Disco King’ Bappi Lahiri’s was laid to rest in the presence of his family members and relatives at Pawan Hans crematorium in Mumbai.
