Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathan’ Diwali release to get pushed ahead ? – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abhraham will soon be sharing the screen space together for the highly anticipated spy-thriller ‘Pathan’. While the movie was earlier slated to have a Diwali 2022, buzz is that the makers are planning to release the project a little later, owing to the quality of work required.

According to a report by Bollywood Life, a well-placed source within the industry stated that Pathan might not hit the big screen during the festival as the work pending of the movie might just demand a rethink of its planned release.

The source also shared that, “Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback to cinema post a self-imposed 4-year hiatus, and since Pathan is a part of a specific production house’s spy universe along with Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Tiger franchise and Hrithik Roshan’s War, every little detail of the movie is being scrutinised with a fine comb”.

Apparently, Aditya Chopra and Director Siddharth Anand who had also worked together in War, are making all efforts to ensure that ‘Pathan’ surpasses all expectations, which requires executing a bunch of high-octane actions sequences in exotic locales, involving copious stunt work and high-end VFX, all of which are taking time.
