In an interview with a news portal, Anil recently revealed that he kept saying no to ‘Judaai’ because he could not connect with his character. The actor added that he was facing a lot of pressure from his family and home production company to sign the film, since they were facing a monetary crunch after ‘Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja’ tanked at the box-office.
Elaborating further, Anil added that he was finally convinced to do the film after he watched ‘Andy Garcia’ and Meg Ryan starrer ‘When a Man Loves a Woman’. He concluded by saying that his intention to do ‘Judaai’ was only for the family.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anil will next be seen in Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ co-starring Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Apart from this, he also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ that stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film also features Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra in key roles.
