Exclusive! Gaurav Ghatnekar: Sachin Kundalkar can get emotions out of stones – Times of India

Actor Gaurav Ghatnekar has carved a niche for himself in Marathi cinema in a relatively short span of time. The ‘Kaay Re Raascalaa’ star has left no stone unturned to make the most of the roles that come her way.

In an exclusive chat with ETimes, the actor opens up on his recently released film ‘Pondicherry’ and his journey in the industry so far and more.

While speaking about his role in ‘Pondicherry’, Gaurav said “I am playing a very different kind of a character in this film. I have never played this character before. To be honest, I am a big fan of Sachin Kundalkar‘s work. He is someone who can get emotions out of stones. My first Marathi film with Sachin was ‘Vazandar’ and ‘Pondicherry’ is my second film with him”

“I am playing a character who is very aggressive and who is very opinionated. I think to portray someone who is opposite to your own character, takes extra effort” Gaurav added.

Meanwhile, Sachin Kundalkar’s much-awaited Marathi film ‘Pondicherry’ was released on February 25. It also starred Amruta Khanvilkar, Sai Tamhankar, Neena Kulkarni, and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles.
