Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathaan’ to release on Republic Day 2023 – Times of India

Shah Rukh Khan has finally made it official that his next film will be ‘Pathaan’. After months of absence from Twitter, the actor made the grand announcement on social media. John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and SRK united to announce the film’s release date. Directed by Siddharth Anand, this high-octane spy thriller will release on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. The date announcement video captured Deepika and John introducing SRK as Pathaan, while King Khan’s look is still being kept under wraps. This announcement video was also directed by Siddharth.

The film went on floors 2020. Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John are expected to take off to Spain to shoot some high octane action sequences for ‘Pathaan’. Apart from this power packed cast, ‘Pathaan’ will also feature an interesting cameo by Salman Khan. The actor will reprise in his role of ‘Tiger’ for SRK’s action entertainer. This visual spectacle is slated for release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and the makers are cashing in on the Republic Day holiday at the box office. Interestingly, arriving on the same date is Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Fighter’. Both these films are backed by YRF and it remains to be seen what new date for ‘Fighter’ will be announced.

Apart from ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Atlee’s next. He is also in talks with filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for a film and has also reportedly signed up for Rajkumar Hirani’s next.
