Not only did advance bookings in Telangana see a hike, fans even put up a massive cut-out of the actor at a single screen in the city. Early on Thursday, they head to the theatre to put up a still of Prabhas from Radhe Shyam, dressed in a blue suit and looking dapper. The fans even commissioned massive garlands to put on the cut-out to show their love for their favourite star. Come evening, and especially on Friday, fans plan to celebrate the film’s release with music, crackers and confetti at the cut-out.

In Radhe Shyam, Prabhas plays the role of a palmist called Vikramaditya. The promotional material hints he can predict the future and sees the past. Pooja Hegde plays his love interest, a medico called Prerna who believes in science. Set in the 1970s Europe, the film’s trailer also hints at a natural disaster involving a ship and a lighthouse threatening to rip the lovers apart. While not much about the film is known, what’s clear is that Radhe Shyam is an out-and-out love story. This film will mark the return of Prabhas to the genre after a slew of action films. Radhe Shyam is also Prabhas’ first pan-India romance.
