Prateik Babbar: I am pretty much on my own right now! – Times of India

When he looks back at his last 4-5 years in the industry, Prateik Babbar feels satisfied with the kind of work that has come his way. From playing powerful roles in films like Mulk, Chhichhore, Mumbai Saga, the upcoming Bachchhan Paandey to a few shows in the digital space the actor is certainly in the best phase of his career.

Back in 2008, Prateik made his debut as an actor with Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na starring Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza. The film was produced by Aamir Khan who had given a break to him. Considering Aamir gave him a break, ask Prateik if he is still in touch with him and takes career advice from him and he shares, “Yes, Aamir Khan is a phone call away, but I am more in touch with Kiran Rao.”

About his contacts and equations in the industry, Prateik says, “I have maintained extremely good relations with most of the people I worked with. I am very grateful that most of these amazing talents and brilliant people are a phone call away. However, when it comes to taking career advice then I must say that I am pretty much on my own right now.”

He elaborates saying, “I give myself advice. I have been giving myself advice for the past five years and it has worked well. I am going to see how it goes. Yes of course, I have my family and friends to back me. And there are a few industry folks who I connect well with, but for now as I said I am pretty much on my won.”
