‘The Kashmir Files’ is earning praise from all ends, be it celebrities, politicians or the audience. Recently, Kirron Kher took to Twitter to applaud the film and also praise her husband and actors Anupam Kher’s performance. “Congratulations to @vivekagnihotri , @AnupamPKher and the team of The Kashmir Files for its resounding success. The stark and tragic Truth told brilliantly moves everyone. It is the chronicling of a Humanitarian Crisis that was ignored for many years. Well done. Jai Ho.”

Recently, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel alleged that ‘The Kashmir Files’ shows only half-truths and added that not only Hindus, but Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs were also murdered in Kashmir. “I watched ‘The Kashmir Files’, the film is made on the terrorist incidents that happened in Kashmir. The entire film is focused on only one family but in the end, the main hero emphasized that not only Hindus, the people of different religions including Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs were also murdered. But this film has been made to send only one political message that only Kashmiri Pandits were displaced,” said the Chief Minister after watching the film. ‘The Kashmir Files’ chronicle the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in the 90s. The film stars Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar and others in pivotal roles. Soon after its release, ‘The Kashmir Files’ was declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and several other states.
