‘RRR’ Hindi box office collection: SS Rajamouli directorial still in race to beat ‘The Kashmir Files’ to become top grosser of 2022 – Times of India

Ram Charan and Jr NTR‘s ‘RRR‘ Hindi continued to remain strong at the box office on its third Friday. Holding steady at the box office, the film collected Rs 5 crore nett taking its overall total to Rs 211 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia.com. The film is still in the race to beat the numbers of ‘The Kashmir Files’ to become the top grosser of 2022. However, it remains to be seen how Yash’s ‘KGF2’ affects the business of ‘RRR’ in the coming days.

The report further states that if South India business is excluded, then ‘RRR’ Hindi will easily beat ‘The Kashmir Files’, but for the Hindi version to topple it will require the film to hold steady business in week four and week five. The film’s business could have crossed the Rs 250 crore nett mark if it was not for Ramzan.

Meanwhile, the film which had already crossed Rs 950 crore mark worldwide, on the 17th day reportedly crossed Rs 970 crore. Therefore, ‘RRR’ is just Rs 30 crore away from reaching the 1000 crore mark worldwide!

Directed by SS Rajamouli, ‘RRR’ is an epic action period drama written by KV Vijayendra Prasad. Also starring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Makarand Deshpande, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody and Olivia Morris in important roles, the film is a fictional story of two Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem and their fight against the British.
