According to the latest report, Neetu was spotted with tears in her eyes as she recalled her late husband Rishi Kapoor along with memories of her own mehendi and engagement ceremony. Interestingly, Neetu and Rishi got engaged on the same date, April 13, 1979.
Ahead of the mehendi, the veteran actress had dropped a throwback picture of herself from her engagement day with Rishi Kapoor and wrote on social media, “Fond memories of baisakhi day as we got engaged 43 years back on 13th April 1979.”
Family members of Ranbir and Alia, such as Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Pooja Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt among others were snapped arriving for the ceremony at RK’s residence Vastu.
Reportedly, the families had a blast at the Mehendi. It’s believed that Neetu and Soni bonded well and were spotted taking lots of pictures together throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Neetu, Riddhima, Shaheen and Soni were papped a while ago arriving at the wedding venue for the haldi ceremony in traditional avatars.
While there’s no surety if the couple will skip a traditional sangeet, a sourced informed ETimes, “There’s no surety of the sangeet but pheras of the couple will happen. According to the muhurat and it may happen tomorrow or day after.”
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor’s baaraat will start from the Krishna Raj house to Vastu, where Alia , the Dulhan will be waiting for their pheras to take place.
The couple will have a traditional Punjabi wedding during the early morning hours reportedly.
