Alia Bhatt’s mangalsutra and kalire have a Ranbir Kapoor connection – view pics – Times of India

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s fairytale wedding concluded yesterday with the newlyweds making their first public appearance and posing for photographs outside their Vastu house. Alia took to Instagram to share dreamy wedding pictures in which the bride and groom looked nothing less than a vision to behold. A close look at the pictures gives a glimpse of Alia’s mangalsutra and other wedding jewellery. Alia’s mangalsutra featured black beads and a gold chain. There was also a teardrop diamond pendant with an infinity sign. It’s a well-known fact that Ranbir Kapoor has an attachment to the infinity sign, and the number 8. So it may not come as a surprise that Alia incorporated these details in her mangalsutra. Even her kalire had the same infinity sign incorporated in the design.

Alia’s wedding outfit was a Sabyasachi hand-dyed ivory organza sari embroidered with fine tilla work and an embroidered handwoven tissue veil. She paired it with Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls. She wore an uncut diamond necklace and earrings and bangles and kadas in both hands.

After the wedding, Alia took to Instagram and shared photos. “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.
