Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor dated for a long time before making their relationship official in 2019 and since then she has faced a lot because of her way of seeing things in life. She feels there are double standards for men and women when they are in a relationship with someone younger.
During a recent interview, Malaika suggested that a woman should focus on her life after going through a breakup or a divorce. She feels that people have a typical misogynist approach to female relationships as it is often seen as a sacrilege for a woman to be in love with a younger man.
The actress also revealed that she is still in the process to make herself stronger, fitter and happier. According to Malaika, she is a reflection of her mother as she prefers to embody her strength and grit, and at the same time mirror her life subconsciously. She has learned from her mother how to live her life on her terms and be independent always.
For the unversed, Malaika Arora had earlier confessed that she was afraid of relationships after her breaking up with Arbaaz Khan. When her marriage ended she was confused about whether she wanted to start another relationship as the constant fear of a broken heart used to haunt her. And then she realized that she needed to be in love, nurture a relationship again, and this new thought gave her the confidence to put herself out there and take a second chance. Malaika says she feels so glad that she did so.
Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan got separated in 2016 after 18 years of marriage and they have a 19-year-old son Arhaan.
