Shilpi Raj: “My video labelled as ‘crying over the MMS’ is 1-year old; so it’s misconstrued”- Exclusive! – Times of India

Shilpi Raj sat down for a long interview with us, yesterday, over the MMS doing the rounds that has been attributed to her. Shilpi categorically denied that she’s the girl in the MMS and said that ‘it’s a saazish to pull her down because she’s doing well as a singer in her career’.

We asked her a sharp question: Why then did she put out a video wherein she’s crying that ‘aisa nahin karna chahiye, etc’. Did this not send out a message loud and clear that she was grossly upset over the leaking of the MMS? “For your information,” Shilpi clarified, “That video where I am crying is 1-year old. It was related to something else. This too I don’t know how that crying video started doing the rounds just when the MMS attributed to me got leaked.”

Shilpi Raj added that her brother was very concerned and did ask her about it. “But I am not ruffled. Main woh video mein hoon hi nahi toh mujhe kyun farak padega?’ she concluded.

Shilpi is concentrating on folk songs and believes that’s her forte, which she plans to extend from Bhojpuri movies to Hindi movies soon.
