Sonu Sood, who has worked in both Hindi films and movies down south, told a news portal that he doesn’t think Hindi can be called just the national language. According to him, India has one language, which is entertainment. The actor also added that it doesn’t really matter which industry you belong to. If you entertain people, they will love you, honour you and accept you.
Elaborating further, Sonu told IndianExpress.com that the success of South films will change the way Hindi films will be made. He added that gone are days when people used to say ‘leave your mind behind’. According to him, the audience won’t leave their mind behind and shell out thousands of rupees on an average film.
The debate began when Sudeep recently said at an event that Hindi is no longer the national language. Ajay, who apparently was offended by this comment, took to his Twitter handle to slam the south superstar and asked him why he dubs his films in Hindi. Sudeep later clarified his stand and said that his comment was taken out of context and that he would never say anything like this.
On the work front, Sonu will next be seen in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Prithviraj’ which will also mark the debut of Manushi Chhillar. Apart from this, he also has several south films in his pipeline.
