‘Heropanti 2’ box office collection Day 1: Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria action earns as low as just 6.5 crore – Times of India

Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much-awaited ‘Heropanti 2’ is off to a poor start on its first day. Considering the big budget of the film, the Ahmed Khan directorial had high hopes with bulk booking ahead of its release on Friday.

According to boxofficeindia.com, ‘Heropanti 2’ has earned as low as Rs 6.25 to 6.50 crore nett on Day 1. Going by trade analyst report, it doesn’t look like a promising figure as the film is ‘frontloaded’. The first day business is most likely from the advance booking collections.

It’s said to be the lowest ever opening for Tiger Shroff in terms of footfalls at the multiplexes.

Keeping in mind that the trends may go up owing to the Eid holiday, ‘Heropanti 2’ is clashing against Ajay Devgn’s ‘Runway 34’ and Sanjay Dutt-Yash starrer ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ at the box office.

While ‘KGF’ continues to rule on the bigscreen, interestingly ‘Runway 34’ and ‘Heropanti 2’ debuted on the same day. Talking about it, Tiger told Bombay Times, “I can’t compare with major superstars. I have way too much respect for them. I am a fan of both of them (Devgn and Bachchan). Runway 34 is looking fantastic. I am looking forward to watch this film.”

He also said that as cinema halls are back into action multiple films can flourish at the same time.
