After making a good start at the box office with a Rs 6.25 crore collection on Friday, the film went on to add Rs 4.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 4 crore on Sunday. With Monday’s collection, the film’s total now stands at Rs 16 crore.
Ajay Devgn’s ‘Runway 34‘ also received a lukewarm reception at the box office. The film saw a drop in collections of around 25 % and earned an estimated Rs 2.25-2.50 crore nett. Unlike ‘Heropanti 2’, this film managed to maintain a steady grip on the ticket windows.
The action flick had a slow start with a collection of Rs 3 crore on day 1, followed by Rs 4.50 crore on day 2 and Rs 5.50 crore on day 3. Monday’s collection of Rs 2.35 crore takes the film’s four-day total to an estimated Rs 15.35 crore nett.
It remains to be seen if the big Eid holiday will push the film to record better numbers. ‘Runway 34’ is expected to benefit from the holiday but will not be able to match the Eid success that Salman Khan films have recorded over the years.
