Ayushmann Khurrana says he tries to unite India with his film choices – Times of India


The trailer of Ayushmann Khurrana‘s ‘Anek’ received appreciation and love from the audience. With ‘Anek’, the actor has slipped into the shoes of an undercover cop.

Talking about his film choices, he told a website that he always tried to unite the country through ‘inclusive subjects, disruptive scripts’ and roles that questions the status quo. The actor added that if he is being seen as someone who is contributing to initiating a debate that can bring social change, he is doing his job in the right manner.

Speaking to ANI about his character in the film, he said, “Talking about his character, Ayushmann said, “This is the first time the audience will see me in this avatar. I have played a cop before but this is the first time they will see me going undercover. Joshua in ‘Anek’ is street smart and intelligent. He knows his way around people and can fight bad guys not only in a physical capacity but also with his great intellect.”

Helmed by Anubhav Sinha, ‘Anek’ will hit the theatres on May 27.

Meanwhile, apart from ‘Anek’, he will next feature in ‘Doctor G’ and ‘An Action Hero’.
