With that a strong bond with her mom, ask Vaani if she’s planned anything special to surprise her on the occasion of Mother’s Day today and she says, “I feel like one day isn’t enough to make your mom feel special.”
Bombay Times caught up with Vaani at the recently concluded Bombay Times Fashion Week. The actress walked the ramp sporting traditional wear. While she is fond of the ethnic attire, and even has a lot of them in her personal wardrobe, it is during childhood she remembers she would steal her mom’s traditional clothes.
She recollects saying, “Her sarees would be all locked in the drawers above. I could only reach out to her dupattas. So, I would drape it around like a saree, wear my mom’s jewelry and dance and pretend like a heroine. So you see, I started my training as an actor much earlier on my own.”
