Arjun Rampal on taking up women-centric films: This is my way of paying homage to my mother – Times of India

Time and again, Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has proved his mettle in rich content-driven and commercial projects with well-crafted characters. Having said that, the actor will soon be seen sharing screen space with Kangana Ranaut in ‘Dhaakad’, where he essays the role of a villain.

Speaking about working in women-centric films, Arjun shares that it’s his way of paying homage to his mom who raised him up as a single parent. According to a report by Navbharat Times, Arjun was quoted saying, “My mom raised me as a single parent. Whenever I get an offer for a woman-centric-film, I take it up immediately. This is my way of paying homage to my mother. I know how strong she was” at the song launch event in Jaipur. Arjun’s mother Gwen Rampal passed away in 2018, fighting cancer.

Arjun shared a close relationship with his mom. Earlier on her birthday, the actor penned an emotional note mourning her demise and remembering her. “Happy 70th Ma. We all miss you with all our hearts. I am sure there will be big celebrations in heaven today. Love you’. Earlier on her mother’s second death anniversary too, the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actor had shared a heartwarming picture with his mom reminiscing the happy times,” Arjun wrote while sharing a picture with her.
