Talking about the same, Anushka told a news portal that striking a work-life balance is certainly harder for women. The actress feels that people don’t understand the life and emotions of a working mother, because the world is so male-dominated. Anushka revealed that even she didn’t understand it till she became a mother. The ‘NH 10’ star admitted that she has so much more respect and love for women, and such a strong sense of sisterhood. According to her, she has always spoken up for women, but feeling love and compassion for the cause has made it even more powerful.
Elaborating further, Anushka added that women could do with more support from workplaces. While she admitted there are men who are kind and empathetic towards women, the actress pointed out that the work culture itself can be very tough. The actress concluded by wishing that we collectively pay more attention to how nurturing a child is important for the world at large.
The actress is married to cricketer Virat Kohli and is a doting mother to their child Vamika.
On the work front, Anushka will be seen essaying the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami in ‘Chakda ‘Xpress’. It is slated for an OTT release.
