Anushka shares that she feels empowered by the choices she has made in her career and personal life, as she took those decisions by herself. She shared, that she cannot be someone who can do multiple things at once, but there are women who can, and kudos to them. But that does not mean anyone is lesser or more because of that.
When asked about how she’s navigating motherhood, and what brings her ‘true, undiluted happiness’, the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress shared that her daughter Vamika makes her feel loved and happy. She said, when her daughter tries to make her laugh, and the moment she laughs, she repeats the action over and over, to make her laugh again and added that this simple gesture of hers touches her.
When asked about the challenges of being a working mother, Anushka pointed out that striking a work-life balance is certainly harder for women. She added, that people don’t understand the life and emotions of a working mother, because the world is so male-dominated. And in fact, even she realized it, when she became a mother herself.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka is currently preparing for Jhulan Goswami‘s biopic titled ‘Chakda Xpress’, which will focus on the hardships and challenges the cricketer had to face to make a place for herself in the world of cricket.
