Deepika has indeed come a long way in her professional endeavors and now she is all set to represent India at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in France as a jury member. A video from the press conference has surfaced on social media where Deepika is seen talking about how she will approach her role as a jury member.
Before leaving for Cannes, the actress had earlier spoken exclusively with Bombay Times on representing the county. She said, “After being an actor for 15 years, for your work to finally be recognized on a global platform such as this, and to be able to represent the country, obviously, there is a sense of gratitude and being extremely overwhelmed.”
On the work front, Deepika has a long list of films getting ready for their releases. The star has ‘Pathaan’ with Shah Rukh Khan, ‘Fighter’ with Hrithik Roshan, ‘Project K’ with Prabhas and ‘The Intern’ remake with Amitabh Bachchan. She also has her home production that is expected to go on floors next year.
