Aryan Khan Drug case: Sameer Wankhede transferred to DGTS Chennai – Times of India

Sameer Wankhede, a former Narcotics Control Bureau officer, who investigated Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan‘s drug case has been transferred the Directorate General of Taxpayers Services (DGTS) in Chennai. Reportedly, other NCB officials who have been transferred are P. Ram Mohan and T. Rajashree.

Wankhede was highly criticised for his handling of the Aryan Khan drug case. An SIT was formed to probe the ‘shoddy’ investigation conducted by Wankhede. The SIT report stated that the star kid might have been falsely implicated.

Also, NCB Chief S N Pradhan stated that they found irregularities in the intial investigation conducted by Wankhede.

Meanwhile, according to IANS, another NCB official who faced the music was Intelligence Official V.V. Singh who filled the arrest memo of Aryan Khan. Singh was placed under suspension which has not been revoked till now.

Reportedly, after Wankhede was removed from the drug case, he was moved to General of Analytics and Risk Management in Mumbai.

On the other hand, Aryan Khan recently got a clean chit in the case due to lack of solid evidence.
