While many celebs mourned the death of the gifted singer, filmmaker Pratim D Gupta raised a serious question on his Twitter handle. The ‘Aahare Mon’ director tweeted, “As the country enjoys the
#IPLFinals, one of the most talented Indian singers was shot dead in Punjab. His crime? He had fought the elections. Scary turn the politics of this nation is taking every passing day.

Not only Pratim but many fans of the Punjabi singer have created a storm on social media asking the same question. Although the senior superintendent of police Gaurav Toora told media that preliminary investigation has shown the incident to be an inter-gang rivalry netizens have demanded strong action and justice.
Many have even spotted an uncanny similarity between Moose Wala’s murder and his last song. On May 15, Sidhu came up with a song, ‘The Last Ride’. It was said to be a tribute to rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in his car at the age of 25 in 1996. The song’s cover photo featured the car Tupac was in that day, and incidentally, Sidhu has also been killed in his car. For instance, one fan on Twitter wrote, “Irony is the last song Sidhu Moose Wala dropped was the last ride and its cover was 2 pac assassination car, the same way sidhu is killed.”
In his career as a singer, Sidhu Moose Wala gave hits like ‘Issa Jatt’, ‘Tochan’, ‘Selfmade’, ‘Famous’ and ‘Warning Shots’ among others. His latest single ‘Levels’ was released on May 24.
