
Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. Since then, the tension and confrontation between two neighbouring countries have resulted in thousands of deaths and destruction in Ukraine. As the ongoing war past 100 days, Priyanka Chopra took to her Instagram handle to reflect on the agony and distress of the people who became refugees overnight.
In the heartwarming note on her Instagram story, the global star backed UNICEF‘s charitable cause ‘Support the children’ through which the global organisation is ensuring that Ukraine’s children can access safe water, nutrition, health care, education, and protection.
Priyanka in her note also shared how the ongoing war Russia-Ukraine war has led to a child protection crisis of epic proportions. She also mentioned how the war crisis has resulted in ‘one of the fastest large-scale displacements of children since World War II’.
Further, she wrote, “As families do everything they can to keep children safe amid conflict and COVID-19, this is what UNICEF is doing to support children.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka was recently shooting for ‘Citadel’ and the actress shared regular updates from the shooting spot dropping pictures and videos on her Instagram handle.
