‘Samrat Prithviraj’ box office collection Day 2: Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar’s film earns Rs 12.5 crore – Times of India


Akshay Kumar’s historical drama, ‘Samrat Prithviraj‘, that received mixed reviews from the critics opened to average numbers on Friday. The film directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi had a decent Day 2 as it collected around Rs 12.50 crore nett, reports Boxofficeindia. This takes the two day collection of the film to a total of around Rs 23 crore nett.

The two day business of ‘Samrat Prithviraj‘ is similar to that of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ with collections being a little better. Sunday numbers will be crucial for the film. If the film manages to register a growth of over 30% on Sunday, it could end up with a 40 crore nett weekend.

During the promotions, Akshay Kumar has said that the historical drama is one of the most important films of his career and called it his ‘legacy project’. “‘Samrat Prithviraj’ is a very important film in my career. It is my legacy project because I’m getting to honour the legendary Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan. I’m fortunate that I’m getting to bring his heroism and life on screen. I hope this film inspires many to lead their life with strong values and get the courage to stand up against any and every evil. ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, to me, is a rare project,” he had said.
