Sonu Sood says ‘things are different after pandemic’ as he talks about box office performance of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ – Times of India

Actor Sonu Sood, who has been helping people ever since the Covid-19 started, has spoken about his recently released film, ‘Samrat Prithviraj‘. He was seen essaying the role of Chand Bardai. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar in lead roles. Despite having a solid star cast, the film has not been able to attract cinema lovers to the theatres. It is enjoying an average run at the box office.

In a recent interview, Sonu shared his thoughts on why the film couldn’t garner the expected figures at the box office. He went on to call the film ‘very special’. He also said that he got a chance to portray a wonderful character and people showered love on him.

While speaking to Hindustan Times, Sonu also thanked the audience for showering the entire team with love. Speaking about the business, he said that the film might not have got as many numbers as expected but things are a bit different after the pandemic. He concluded by saying that he is very happy with how people have reacted to the film and the way they have shown their love for it.

Meanwhile, apart from films, Sonu also tried his hands at hosting. He recently hosted the new season of ‘Roadies’ in South Africa. He shared that it has been a ‘terrific journey’ with lots of fun and adventure.

On the work front, Sonu will be seen in ‘Kisaan’ and ‘Fateh’.
