Pradeep Sarkar: I am looking for an established actress to play Priya Rajvansh’s role in her biopic -Exclusive – Times of India

Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar will be directing a biopic on actress Priya Rajvansh to be produced by Deepak Mukut. When ETimes contacted Pradeep Sarkar he confirmed and added, “We are working on the subject and the research is going on. As a soon as everything is in place, will start the film.” It was reported previously that this film will be based on author Subodh Lal‘s book Priya Interrupted.

Not too long ago, there was speculation that a lot of A-list actresses and actors were interested in playing the lead roles. Names like Jacqueline Fernandez and Vivek Oberoi were speculated upon. When asked if he is looking at an established actress or a new face to essay the role of Priya Rajvansh, he replied, “Why shouldn’t I look for an established actress? The story is good and I don’t think there should be a problem. It is going to be a completely acting oriented opportunity.”

Sarkar added that the story of the film will trace Priya Rajvansh’s life from the time she met Chetan Anand to her accidental death that took place inside her house. Apart from this biopic, Sarkar was also working on another biopic on Bengali artiste and actress Binodini Dasi, which is supposed to feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead role. But that project was put on hold for scripting issues.
