Mischief makers leaked Ranbir Kapoor’s first look from ‘Shamshera’ depriving us all the excitement of seeing the first poster. The makers, who were in no mood to play nice, used the same leaked image to announce the film’s July 22 release date. Guess we will have to wait a while longer till we see the trailer also featuring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor later this week.
After all the uproar over Ranbir Kapoor shown in shoes while entering what looked like a temple, director Ayan Mukerji issued a clarification saying it was not a temple, but a Durga Puja Pandal. “Brahmāstra is created as a movie experience which pays respect to, and celebrates – Indian culture, traditions, and history,” he said while assuring all will be understood when the film hits the big screens.
Meanwhile, those who watched the new ‘Brahmastra’ trailer in 4K seemed convinced that Deepika Padukone will make her grand cameo as the goddess of the sea. Several fans took to social media to place their bets that the woman in a red saree with blue energy coming out of her hands was none other than DP.
On the movie front, it seems that Shraddha Kapoor will return to give you all the shivers when she takes the screen again as ‘Stree’ in an upcoming prequel. After the massive success of this 2018 film, Dinesh Vijan has plans to show the journey of the girl who became ‘Stree’ with Shraddha reprising her role. This prequel will reportedly go on floors later this year.
All the hype around the ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo‘ release this Friday, seems to have silenced the chatter around the copyright infringement case on in full swing in the courtroom. A commercial court in Ranchi ordered the screening of the film to determine if it is indeed a copy of Vishal Singh’s story titled ‘Punny Rani’. Singh claimed that the makers have not given him any credit and has sought a stay on the release. He also demanded a compensation of Rs 1.5 crore.
