Getting back to work turned out to be therapeutic for Neetu. It even helped her get over the loss of Rishi Kapoor. She said, “It was like applying ointment on my wounds, I felt so nice that I’m doing something. It took my mind off the grief, it felt very nice. A good film came at the right time to help me go through that. I’ll always be very thankful to Karan.” Not just that, having worked on Jugjugg Jeeyo, Neetu felt more confident about her ability as an actor. She said, “I feel confident again, if I get the chance, I would want to do more. I never thought that I’ll do movies again. My life was my husband and my children, I never thought that if nothing else then this is the best thing to do, to work, to keep yourself occupied.”
She’s already made a mark on TV with her presence on reality shows. And now that she’s felt the excitement of returning in front of the camera, Neetu Kapoor is looking for more work and she’s even considering OTT as her next playground. She revealed, “So many channels for work have opened up now. There’s Netflix and the other OTT platforms, so I’ll do something. I have a show that I’ll start working for in October.”
