Akshay Kumar to start shooting for mining engineer Jaswant Gill’s biopic in July: Report – Times of India


Actor Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, is reportedly gearing up for the shoot of his next. He will be seen doing a biopic on chief mining engineer Jaswant Gill. The film is titled ‘Capsule Gill’.

The latest report suggests that Akshay will head to the UK to start shooting for the film. It is being said that the film will be directed by ‘Rustom’ fame director Tinu Suresh Desai.

According to Mid-Day, Akshay will shoot for the film till the end of July after which he will return to India for the promotions of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. The story is based on Gill’s life who led the rescue operation to save over 60 lives when a Raniganj coal mine got flooded in 1989. The film will star Parineeti Chopra, who will be seen playing Akshay’s wife’s role. The report also suggests that the actor will shoot for the second schedule in September in Raigarh and West Bengal’s Raniganj.

Meanwhile, Akshay recently launched the trailer of ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the trailer has got a positive response from the audience. Even actors from the South industry have lauded the trailer. It also stars Bhumi Pednekar. It will be clashing with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.
