Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s younger brother, musician Rajesh Roshan shared fond memories of Bhupinder Singh and told ETimes, “He was one of the few singers who could put life into his songs. Very few singers can do that, but Bhupinder could always manage to do that. He sang many great songs for acclaimed music directors like SD Burman, RD Burman, Madan Mohan and even my father (music director Roshan) wanted to make him sing. He sang for me in the film Jay Vijay as well. I still listen to his song Do Deewane Shehar Mein and Hoke Majboor Mujhe. He used to be a very good guitarist. He used to play with SD Burman a lot. After SD da passed away, Bhupinder joined Pancham. I listen to Bhupinder’s songs on a daily basis. He was full of life. We will really miss him.”
