Talking about his memories of watching his first film in theatres, Ranbir told a news portal that ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’ was a film that his entire family went to see in a theatre. The actor said that he still remembers the songs and that it is still very fresh in his mind.
Elaborating further, Ranbir added that ‘Hum Aapke Hai Kaun’ was deeply impacted by ‘Khalnayak’. For him, when ‘Khalnayak’ came, it was like the coolest film, coolest soundtrack, and coolest hero they had ever seen on screen. Ranbir added that he must have seen it 50 times. He concluded by saying that their memories and love for cinema are so attached to them that it’s amazing.
‘Shamshera’ is set in the fictitious city of Kaza and is a story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe’s freedom and dignity. While Ranbir plays the titular role, Sanjay Dutt essays the role of a ruthless authoritarian general Shuddh Singh.
Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film was released in the theatres today in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
