‘Shamshera’ Box Office collection day 3: Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt starrer ends its first weekend on a disappointing note – Times of India

Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt starrer was released on Friday and since then, it’s struggling to impress the audience. Despite larger-than-life action, and Ranbir’s on-screen appearance after four years, it hasn’t been able to pull cinema lovers to theatres.

According to Boxofficeindia.com, ‘Shamshera‘ had a disappointing first weekend. It has collected in the range of Rs 10.75 – Rs 11 crore on Sunday. With this, the film now stands at a total of Rs 31 crore. The report suggests that the film saw a growth of around 20 per cent in mass pockets of UP, CPCI, Bihar and Rajasthan on Sunday but shockingly Gujarat did not grow.

It is being said that the Ranbir starrer might see a huge drop on its first Monday considering the weekend figures. The first weekend business of ‘Shamshera’ is as follows:

Friday – 10,00,00,000 apprx

Saturday – 10,00,00,000 apprx

Sunday – 11,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL – 31,00,00,000 apprx

Earlier, Ranbir spoke about the USP of ‘Shamshera’. While speaking to ANI, he hoped that people love to see Sanjay Dutt vs Ranbir Kapoor on the big screen. He shared, “I’m aware that one of the major USPs of ‘Shamshera’ is Sanjay Dutt vs Ranbir Kapoor and I hope people love that on screen. Sanjay sir has an enigmatic aura about him every time he comes on the big screen and it has been an honour for me to go toe to toe against him. The film is a revenge-action spectacle and I’m really happy about how grand our clash is looking on the big screen.”
