ETimes caught up with her for an exclusive interview where he spilled the beans on the reactions he has been getting for the web series ‘Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi’, the OTT space and more. Excerpts…
What kind of reactions have you been getting for ‘Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi’?
I am very happy with the reactions we are getting for ‘Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi’. People love it and they are able to relate to it. It is very phenomenal.
Do you like this trend of films released on OTT?
It is a very amazing platform. It’s a new platform where filmmakers and actors can show their talents. It has given much-needed recognition to new talent.
You come from a non-film background, did you always incline to act?
I always wanted to be an actor. When I was in standard 8th, I decided that I want to be an actor. But my parents wanted me to complete my education. After completing my engineering in Pune, came to Mumbai for my acting career. It was very challenging and no godfather in the industry. Gradually, things fell into place and got a few projects.
What are your thoughts on the mental pressure that actors go through?
The industry was affected badly during the Pandemic. When it comes to the film industry, entertainment is the last priority when health is at stake. Uncertainty in the industry is something that is very challenging.
You are the fittest actor we have in the industry. How is being fit important these days?
It is very important. I truly believe a healthy mind is a healthy body. I make it a point to take out time for fitness. You don’t need six-pack abs to be called fit. Being healthy internally is also very important.
Your fans are curious to know your love life and marriage plans.
Marriage is not on the cards right now. I’m focusing on my career. Whenever it will happen it happens.
