
After recording a huge drop on Monday, ‘Shamshera’ made a slight further drop on its fifth day at the box office. On Tuesday, the move added Rs collected 2.50 crore nett to its total collection, which now stands at Rs 36 crore nett plus, reports Boxofficeindia. The present trend suggests that ‘Shamshera’ could rake in around Rs 40.50 crore nett at the end of its first week at the box office. There can be further drops in collection in the coming days. ‘Shamshera’ features Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role with Sanjay Dutt essaying a fierce antagonist. During an interaction about box office collection, Ranbir Kapoor had clarified that actors don’t get a share of the 100 crore earnings. He had said, “Yeh joh padhte hain na aap papers mein – 100 crores and 200 crores – yeh kissi ke jeb mein nahi jaata. It all goes to many other people, like distributors, exhibitors and so on, and whatever is left goes to the producer. Director aur actor ko kuch nahi milta.”
Post ‘Shamshera’, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’, co-starring Alia Bhatt. This sci-fi drama also features Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
